Your Culture Underlies Your Strategy, Here’s How To Influence Culture!

Culture is so important it “Eats Strategy for Lunch 7 Days a Week.” Culture shapes the thinking and actions leaders and teams. Your strategy actually arises from your culture.

So, how do you influence culture? Throughout human history the most dynamic factor shaping culture most powerfully is storytelling. Our myths and our stories determine our values and cultures.

And so it is with your team and your organization. Stories are the fabric of all culture. Stories create and guide the mythology that defines our culture.

It’s important that you start sharing well-chose, well-crafted and well-told stories. Look back on those moments in your life when you learned the importance of your core values.

Think about the stories you heard from mentors that impact you today. Find moments in your life when you learned the important lessons you live by and teach today.

And share them! You’ll be making your important contribution to the culture of your organization!
