Harness the Power of Your Origin Story: Looking at Your Scars

Let’s talk about your Origin Story again, because it’s fundamental and powerful. To discover, craft and tell it well requires you to look at your scars! Often, we try to hide our scars. They are typically evidence of pain, a mistake made, a wound, so it’s natural to avoid these moments.

But, I recently heard a smart person say: “Your Super Power is usually located right next to your scar!” And, your scars are great places to look to find your Origin Stories, and other meaningful leadership stories, as well.

Sharing those stories is what I call Insightful Vulnerability™. As Les Brown says: “People don’t connect with your successes… They connect with your messes! Your message is in your mess!” People connect with, and respect you more, when you are willing to share difficult moments! That’s Insightful Vulnerability™!

Check out my one minute video and if you’d like to join a group of 8 like minded souls to practice and experience Insightful Vulnerability™ the next Speak Like a Leader Experience begins March 22nd, 2022. I hope you’ll join us.
