Public Speaking has a deep value for human beings. We are programmed, by deep history and evolution, to understand and respond to quality speech!

Movies and television and radio and all of the modern forms of communication are very important, but I still believe that public speaking – which includes small gatherings like team meetings, to large events like annual conferences and more – is simply one of the most valuable skills you can master.

And yet, many of the leaders I talk with have only had minimal, if any, professional support and training in public speaking. Unlike particle physics, some people seem to think they should be good at public speaking without any outside assistance and training.

Well, the people who are the best speakers didn’t get there on their own. Understanding the underlying principles builds confidence, improves creativity and adds joy to your public speaking.
